IMCC (IMCanadaConnect) Session for March – What’s Up with Transitory Records?

Registration
Wednesday March 25th 12noon CST

Do transitory records still have a place in modern records and information management? Join this lively IGIM panel discussion as seasoned practitioners challenge long-standing assumptions and debate whether the concept still works in today’s digital environment.

The idea of transitory records has been part of records and information management practice for decades—but does it still make sense today? In this energetic IGIM panel session, experienced records and information management professionals will explore whether the traditional concept of transitory records still serves organizations or whether it has become more confusing than helpful. With massive volumes of digital information, powerful search tools, and increasing privacy and regulatory pressures, opinions in the profession are sharply divided. Expect a candid and thought-provoking discussion as panellists share practical perspectives from the field and challenge each other on how organizations should manage short-lived information in the years ahead. Bring your own views—this promises to be a lively conversation.
